Earthy winter to spring

The dress and the vest are from torrid although I don’t think the dress is available anymore. The smoky quartz is from a shop called the black goat in Effingham Illinois.

While I feel this is very late winter/early spring territory, I tend to put my outfits together based on the energy I am feeling. Today I was going for a blend of cozy and upscale. Plaid to me is very much a safe, friendly pattern, putting me in mind of personal pursuits where it’s all about what you learn and create, without risk of judgment from anyone else. The velvet vest is to give a refined touch.
