Out On The Lake
Poetry ~ Lyrics
* Apparently, There are other ways to see.
So lend me those eyes, So I may become wise, Like you.
Well it’s always dark
In a broken heart.
No one can take my hand.
I guess you understand.
Why I’m out of luck, And my eyes don’t work.
Maybe I kissed your face, Before I lost my way.
Out on the lake, Now I’ve swallowed all my pain.
In a tall glass of shame.
So will you help me, Somehow.
Can you save me, Such a long way out.
Will you forgive me, Or let me drown.
Apparently, There are better ways to feel.
So give me your mind, Full of beautiful light, Make it real.
You know it’s always dark.
In a broken heart.
Why should I breathe again.
Maybe you understand.
Why I’m out of luck, So wrap me in your arms.
Before we go to waste, You know I once was saved.
Out on the lake, But now I’ve swallowed all my pain.
In a tall glass of shame.
So will you help me, Somehow.
Can you save me, I’m such a long way out.
If you don’t need me, Then let me drown.
You see it’s always, so dark …
In a broken heart.
