Our Brain Is Making Fun Of Us “Change Blindless”
More Than 50% of People Are Unable To Notice Changes In These Pictures
Science investigating the working principles of the human brain proves that while you are driving in a car in rainy weather, rain droplets or mud particles coming to your windshield will prevent you from seeing a huge truck overturning ahead of the road.
The brain perceives the situation around it in two stages.
Perceiving the image of interest first, the person sees the other images as the background. Even if the change in the whole image takes place right in front of us, we cannot see it and perceive it. This condition is called “change blindness”.
As a result; The representation of our visual field in our brain is more complex than we think.”
In fact, this is true for any activity.
Small changes or movements in the foreground can prevent us from perceiving a huge change.

Change blindness can happen due to many reasons:
- Due to diversion of attention from the change signal
- Changes in visually more distinct objects are easier to detect than changes in non-prominent regions
- Attention to the changing object is necessary for change detection
- Sometimes, attention to the changing object also may not be sufficient as has been found in some studies
