OSHO| I Finally Listened To The Person Who Inspired Me
Does your mind chatter when someone speaks?
I was the prisoner of my own thoughts and ideas until I learnt the art of observing them. And the man who brought about this change is OSHO.

Growing up the psychological barriers were hardest to overcome. How can you fight an invisible enemy that resides within you? It’s tough when you have no idea that the problem even exists.
Like a bad workman, I always blamed my tools. I always thought my miseries are caused by others. Little did I know I was standing in my own way. I was leading myself to the path of destruction.
Wandering in the wild woods of thoughts I stumbled upon this extraordinary being, popularly known as Osho. Let me tell you how I came across him.
My mind’s chatterings won’t allow me to listen.
One fine day, Youtube decided to recommend me his video. I was intimidated by his grave look. I couldn't ignore him for long and finally clicked. Whether it was the Youtube algorithm or divine intervention, I don't know. I watched a couple of his videos and read a few compilations of his talks.
It finally dawned on me that I don't even know the art of listening. My mind’s chatterings won’t allow me to listen. I was absorbed into the thoughts that were constantly played on my mental screen.

You are only a watcher, merely a witness (Osho)
The obvious question was, how to stop these chatterings? Well, Osho answered with extreme precision.
Be a witness to your thoughts if you want to become free of thoughts… Wake up to your thoughts, be a witness to them. The flow of thoughts moves in the mind, just watch them. Don’t judge what is good, what is bad… You are only a watcher, merely a witness… You are not the thoughts, you are the one who sees the thoughts. (Osho).
Are you thinking, Wow! ….What a beautiful thought?
I want you to take a pause and be with me.
The thoughts will keep arising and you have to observe them. The idea is to create a distance between the thought and the observer of the thought.
When a thought arises, be aware and let it pass.
You cannot stop the flow of thought but what you can do is, try to see them. Try to witness your thoughts without judgment. If a thought arises and you think about the thought you just had, you will create a series of thoughts.
When a thought arises, be aware and let it pass. You don’t need to sit in one particular place to do that. Watch your thoughts (Lao Tzu), wherever you are and whatever you are doing.
It took me a while to completely grasp this. I realized how much thought interferes with everyday life.
This helped me stay in the present moment. We can only think about past memories or future imaginations. We miss the present by being absorbed in thoughts.
Osho changed my life in a subtle way and I am forever grateful to him
Thoughts are useful, it helps us navigates the path in material life. But there exists a psychological space beyond the material one. And this is where the most chaos lies, which translates into disputes, wars, and whatnot in the physical world.
When I finally listened to the person who inspired me, my whole life transformed from the inside out. Osho changed my life in a subtle way and I am forever grateful to him. And Thanks to the advent of computers and the internet for giving me access to Osho's exceptional content.
