He points out that the fast-paced life often leads to neglect of personal health and emotional connections, with social media becoming a substitute for genuine interactions. The enforced pause in daily routines allows for self-reflection, the pursuit of hobbies, and a renewed appreciation for nature's resilience. Let me introduce myself. I am Nayanjyoti Das. I am from Assam (a state in India). By profession I am a Data Scientist. This is my first story on Medium.

After I finished my Masters in Technology, I joined an MNC in Noida. I have been staying here for 2 years. The city is quite busy compared to my native home. Here people don’t even know their neighbors. I have been exploring the plastic smile from people. Everyone tries to be so politically correct here. These are not complaints, but indeed my observations being from all together a different community. But I love to explore new things.

Here in this story I want to jot down some of my observations about the situation on Corona Virus.

I have realized that we have complicated our lives without any reason. We as humans have basic needs of food, shelter and clothes. But we have come so far in the search for these basic needs, that we started to not adore the emotional needs we have. We have put the emotional needs in the secondary list and have prioritized the things which can give us luxury.

Mankind has always mistaken the definition of luxury and needs. We have come so far emotionally from our loved ones that we need social media platforms to share our daily feelings.

So, I believe, its time now that we try to rejuvenate our relation with our loved ones.

We as humans try to respect the place of worship. We try to not pollute these places with garbage or other unwanted things. But we have been doing this to ourselves for years now.

We have been polluting our body with lots of unwanted food which is not healthy for us. We have not been thinking about it and have been continuously dumping junk inside it.

We are not concerned about our increasing weight and have been effectively giving an excuse to ourselves about our busy schedule in life. I think this lock-down has given us an opportunity that we can rethink about our health.

Do you remember those hectic scheduled days? We were busy running behind time and no one was ever satisfied accruing it. We always longed for weekends and had plans to share time with our families and ourselves.

So, lets not take this lock-down period as a dark time or a curse. Rather, lets cherish it together and adore the time which GOD has given us to spend with ourselves.

I have started enjoying this period and I thank GOD that he has given me these days with myself.

I have explored my hobbies which I did not had time for. I have realized that, money can buy luxuries but cannot buy happiness. I have also realized that we will get nothing panicking in a particular situation. Rather, be optimistic and find the good in it.

We have been running so much after luxuries that we haven’t given enough scope to the nature, to nourish. When we are now locked down inside our houses we can see the difference in nature. It has started rejuvenating again. The nature’s cycle have been disturbed by us Humans since decades. So, I believe we should cherish this time of lock-down and enjoy seeing nature taking charge again.

Lets be optimistic and enjoy these lock-down period.
