Optimism
A LITERARY IMPULSE CHALLENGE

We stand in the dusk of the season breathless waiting
for the frost to yield openings within coiled libido
spreading out in the calling sky an optimism for every- thing
blossoms from within of blessings in seeing eyes
witnessing the bloom unfurling to the beating heart
calling to the dawn a season that exhales possibilities
Challenge Name:- When Words and Painting combine- Part 2 from:
Gratitude to Monoreena Acharjee Majumdar for the inspiring artwork and the challenge to flower words over her visual optimism
I was struck first by the beauty of the work and especially the play of blue and the complementary colours that blossomed in the foreground of the work. The flowers against that background also brought images of fireworks to mind. Monoreena’s title resonated with the image, and the onset of my creative anthesis began as words revealed themselves in the above poem: Optimism. The words exploded in my mind like fireworks and the whole of it was written within an hour.
Tagging a random selection of a few awesome people: Iva Hotko, Ann Christine Tabaka, David Rudder, Neera Handa Dr, M.T. Pariti, Divya Goswami, E. Katherine Kottaras, and everyone else…
