Only A Writer Would Have This List

The many lives I lived

Allison Tennent, my dear writer friend, invited me to write a list about my personality, my life, trivial facts, and whatever lights my fancy. You are invited to join as well. Please tag me if you do because I would love to read about you. (the ominous you)

1. I danced on American Bandstand twice.
2. I ranked 520 out of 540 in my high school (20 people did worst than me).
3. I served as a School Board Member for District 58 in Montana.
4. I lived in Thousand Oaks, CA, Santa Barbara, CA, San Jose, CA, Berekely, CA, Westlake, Lake Oswego, OR, CA, Portland, OR, Washington DC, Ghana, Nebraska, Wyoming, Montana, and Iowa.
5. In 1993, when I lived in Berkely, the City Council forgot to renew a policy to prohibit nudity. Naked people accompanied me on the bus and walked down all the streets.
6. I lived as a US Diplomat for the State Department.
7. I married a psychiatrist.
8. His favorite part about me is that I am unpredictable.
9. I traveled to Argentina, Nigeria, Mexico, Italy, the Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, and most of the United States.
10. I inherited large sums of money thrice and only made good use of it once.
11. I have owned 4 houses.
12. I cannot eat vegetables that are older than two days from the refrigerator.
13. I drink more than 12 cups of water a day.
14. My mother left my family a few days before my tenth birthday.
15. I cared for my father in hospice until he died at 27.
16. I began writing when I was six and wrote eight books by the 8th grade.
17. I spent half of my life asleep; therefore, I live in two worlds.
18. It took me 16 years to earn my undergrad, but actually, it was fourteen, but I was so drunk in 2002 that I forgot I attended my last class until 2004.
19. I earned my Master's in 11 months.
20. I love Illumination for giving me a home and Alison Tennent for showing me love without ever knowing me.

28. I am determined to interview Dr. Mehmet Yildiz one day.

29. At thirty, I had eight cats, a Great Dane, and a 1964 blue convertible Cadillac that I would drive with my Dorothy from the Wizard of OZ red-sequined hat and matching shoes.

30. I have no regrets, and I have no expectations.
