“A mishmash of questions” as Lynn L. Alexander calls it!

Journaling or answering a bunch of fun random questions is therapeutic and easy. I love to write useful content about discovering happiness and wealth, personal finance, mental health, work, and memorable experiences. But it takes a lot of effort, energy, and thought.

When anxiety hits, I need a low-effort and simple distraction. That’s where this mishmash of questions comes in.

Here are 10 questions and answers about all kinds of unrelated things. They’re super random but they give you something quick to read, maybe something interesting to think about, and possibly an idea for your next write or read.

Do you use a top sheet?

Most definitely yes, a nice clean smooth one!

Do you use an electric or manual toothbrush?

I’m a minimalist. I can’t be bothered to maintain an electric toothbrush or use energy for that.

Do you like your toilet paper over or under?

Toilet tissue should always, always be set up to pull from over the top. Never under!

Do you make your own soup or eat canned soup?

I’m no cook but I can add some chicken broth powder to a pot of boiling water, drop a cooked rotisserie chicken (from Costco) in there, add some mini carrots and call it a day.

Do you skip or eat breakfast?

Toast every single morning. I don’t ever skip breakfast and am unsure how people who do don’t feel lightheaded within a couple hours.

Do you regularly drink protein shakes?

Never. I suffer from stomach issues that do not allow me to enjoy protein shakes.

Do you use a real camera or a phone camera the most?

I used to love using real cameras. I still have my Nikon DSLR and a smaller digital camera. But nowadays, it’s only the phone for me. Convenient. Easy. Good quality.

Do you still have a landline?

No. Again, minimalist. Can’t be bothered with an extra bill for a phone line I never use.

Do you normally print or write in cursive when writing something?

Print. Neatly.

Do you need caffeine to get going in the morning?

Nope. Just a steaming cup of hot water in a clear mug.

The next time you’re experiencing a little worry or anxiety, perhaps try finding distraction in writing about whatever really. Nothing serious but literally random whatevers. Try the questions above or make up your own. Have a set ready for yourself.
