One Two Buckle My Shoe The Magic Mantra For Moving Forward Quickly
Every person should have a magic mantra to relate to so that they can move fast.
Hello Friends and Family,
Do you know that writers have to move fast and work well? They have to know the trends that are happening and have to be aware of them by reading and writing and knowing what is happening. This is sometimes a challenge but they have to be passed.
I suggest that everyone should think of some interesting flowing jingle, tune, or song to keep them lively and bright.
My magic mantras
I go down memory lane. When I was young there was a famous nursery rhyme.
#1 One Two Buckle MY Shoe mantra
One, two, Buckle my shoe; Three, four, Knock at the door; Five, six, Pick up sticks; Seven, eight, Lay them straight: Nine, ten, A big fat hen;
We made a sort of remix with a magic formula: One two buckle my shoe. Three-four open the door. Five six pick up the books. Seven eight off you go, nine ten Don't be slow.
All my life when I begin to slow down I sing the same nursery song. It helps me to move forward. I have made them my magic words and I enjoy singing them
Simply by singing these words I know I never went late to school. This moving fast and forward became such a habit that I was never late to work even.
What was the reason? The one-two buckle my shoe gave me a sense of high to wear my shoe and become excited to jump and run.
#2. Sports field mantra.
Another magic mantra that I learned was at the sports field from the sports teacher.
The school and college that I went to also had an annual sports day every year.
We used to prepare for different races and games. To top it all we had a march past to open the program and to close it at the end. There used to be a prize instituted for the best march past performed by a team.
When we practiced the March past in school, the sports teacher would loudly say and we used to repeat after her loudly
Left, Left the sergeant used to say, Now You've got it never forget it Never you give it away Hey Left, Left the sergeant used to say.
These were motivating words. We were inspired and we picked the rhythm of marching and showcased the march past on sports day.
Since an attractive prize would be instituted for it, every team would want to get the first prize for it. The magic mantra followed was the four lines given above and this made people move forward.
What are the learnings from these short rhythmic jingles?
The learnings
- Adopt certain rhythmic lines which you sing or just tune in or whistle that help you to move forward.
- The words should be simple and somewhat rhyming and interesting that make you move
- The magic mantras adopted can be nonsensical, a nursery rhyme, or some words that push you to continue with your work.
Writers definitely need words of reassurance to get them moving to work. So let us sing in unison and enjoy writing by moving forward with our mantras.
Now I would like to pick three stories that I have read this week on Coffee Times and enjoyed
The editor’s pick for this week (9th — 15 th April 2022)
#1. Please, Do Not Judge Me Harshly; I Used To Be An Exotic Dancer
This article is dedicated to women everywhere- never live in shame, never move forward in fear! 💪 Marilyn Glover
I was really touched by this story where the author became a dancer in order to bring up her children well after a bad divorce. The inner feelings of the writer and the lesson she has for everyone, particularly women to live without fear and shame in this world.
#2. My Daughter Became My Son Leonard Tillerman
This is such a personal story where a father finds out that the child that his dad was not a girl and he supported him and helped him to choose his right and become his son. Parents have to be supportive and accept situations like this and deal with them in a mature manner.
#3 Benefits of Using Imagination and Visualization Rob's Thoughts
The writer feels imagination and visualization are very useful and have many benefits. Imagination is key to a successful life — learn how to increase yours are his words. We will learn the power of visualization from him and see how we can use our imagination to change our life for the better.
To conclude:
We will now try our mantras and see the productivity of our work and whether it has some benefits or not. I am sure everyone has some fond memories of words and lines. Use it in your daily lives and see how much it works for you and motivates you.
