One Sanity Saving Tip To Manage Your Time Like A Pro

The meetings get so overwhelming!

Do you have a ton of meetings to attend? It feels like all I do, day in and day out, is attend meetings.

Unfortunately, most of them are necessary. And a lot of them I host.

But I feel so exhausted at the end of the day. Meetings are incredibly emotionally draining.

If this sounds familiar, I have a hack for you.

It’s mindblowing in its simplicity:

Block out one whole day a week in your calendar and refuse to schedule meetings on that day.

I block out Fridays, and even though I can’t avoid all meetings, I have a significant amount of time to actually do some work.

For this to work, you need to be brutal about your boundaries.

  • Ask for reschedules if (when) someone schedules a meeting without looking at your calendar for availability.
  • Decline meetings that are not absolutely necessary.
  • And don’t be tempted to schedule meetings for that day yourself!

Shoutout to Amy Colleen and her great article on respecting her son’s privacy — I can relate 100%!
