Poem

we start with the palm trees to the left you live here, this is your place
the balcony has a couple of chairs a film scene crowd on the opposite roof our pyjamas, iced coffee, and bare feet we’ve got rolling papers when we want eyes on the prize to take you higher it isn’t enough to want love and adoration
it’s enough to not want it, but kindly these things do come together with some thought behind it, and a lot of thought
behind that a drowsy sound made up less from a thinking cap and more from a belly where satisfaction desires
nothing, needs nothing, already content with sharing now and maybe an unnecessary thing but welcome like something unexpected at the door
