One Important Thing You Can Learn to Become Successful in Anything You Do

Imagine and create your future

We, humans, are curious by nature. We ask questions, we build things, and most of us have strong opinions about our World and its problems. But do we take our thoughts to the next level? The next level is creating by using our imagination.

So what is creative imagination?

Creativity is defined by psychological scientists as the generation of ideas or products that are both original and valuable. Creativity relies on imagination, the conscious representation of what is not immediately present to the senses.”

(According to the definition of creative imagination, we can apply the concept to any area in our life, but here I am focused on building a business).

So, the question becomes does everyone use their imagination to create a rewarding and successful life? No, they all do not. However, if you don’t and desire to be successful, you should start exercising and applying your creative Imagination today.

Why? Because successful people improve and refine their vision and ideas continually. Creative people think of every way possible to tackle problems and improve products. Don’t wait another minute to start showing the World your ideas and creativity.

We all can imagine a successful life no matter our talents. It is one thing to imagine, but when we use that imagination to create and solve problems, creating becomes the separator that aims to achieve success.

However, many people are embarrassed to use their brains to imagine and create. Some feel that only children are the ones who imagine. Countless great ideas that could have changed the World never were -due to the limitation of Imagination and creativity.

But to build a successful business, know that one of the laws of the universe is that you must train and use your creative Imagination.

Creative Imagination is a must.

All great leaders had a goal as they tuned into the universe. They took the time and necessary energy to exercise their brain. To dream of things that are bigger than themselves. Ideas that expanded their mind into believing in those ideas. They are and were creative.

But where do those money-making ideas come about? They come from our uniquely creative minds. For instance, we all think about improving a product, service, or recipe sometime during our life. But countless people never take the next step to make their imagination come true.

Those who believe in their creativity and take action to achieve their dreams often succeed beyond their initial expectations.

I have started 27 companies, and most were born from my curiosity about improving an existing problem or improving a already good product.

One of my companies came about from a secret family recipe. It was a BBQ sauce. My grandfather made the sauce and sold it in his country store. Often he had me make it in a cast-iron pot, so I knew the recipe. Many years later, I decided to bottle the sauce because it was good.

However, I thought, why not improve the recipe and bottle two sauces. I decided to add one extra ingredient, a teaspoon of liquid hickory smoke, with the other flavoring. So it was that I ended up with a “regular” and a new sauce I called “Hickory Cajun.”

Both bottles sold well, but the Hickory Cajun sales went through the roof. That one little addition came about from Imagination and some creative thinking. As a result, I sold every bottle from the thousands of gallons produced. Eventually, I sold the company with the secret recipes for thousands.

Improvements to existing products that were already good.

The automobile comes to mind. Think about the hundreds of additions that came about by ordinary people who dreamed up improvements. The list is long — windshield wipers, headlights, safety products, etc.

Remember, someone made a better mousetrap and made a fortune. There are thousands of products that can be improved. People prove that every day. Read as much as possible about how others succeeded. Learn from the greats.

Some Famous People who changed the World using Imagination and creative thinking

Thomas Edison began his career selling candy, newspapers, and vegetables on the trains running from Port Huron to Detroit. Yet, with Imagination, this young man changed our World. He was a big dreamer. He imagined and set big goals. Then he acted on the ideas he came up with from his vision and forward-thinking mind. So much so he ended up with 1093 U. Patents in his name and some in other countries.

After establishing the Edison Light Company, he said: “We will make electricity so cheap that only the rich will burn candles.” So it was that Edison imagined that he could convince city leaders to allow him to use a one-mile square in Manhattan to demonstrate he could supply power for his electric light bulbs. Edison had devised a commercially viable bulb and would provide the power for those bulbs.

In 1882 at the Pearl Street Station in New York City, the switch was thrown, and the rest is history. Edison did not let anything stand in the way to accomplish his goals. He imagined it, and it came true.

Another forward creative thinker was Albert Einstein, a German mathematician, and physicist who developed special and general relativity theories. Einstein, at an early age, understood the universal laws, and he too changed our World. Einstein also left us many famous quotes.

One of my favorites is:

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.”

You don’t have to be an Edison or Einstein to be successful.

But think big. Power up your Imagination daily. Create. Ask yourself what problems can you solve? Study existing products and imagine ways to create improvement. Push your mind for creative ideas and imagine success.

Exercise your brain- it may pay you tremendous rewards for your effort.
