I Love Qatar Air
Once my companion and I were flying with Qatar Air from Kuala Lumpur to Doha and the guy at check-in said that there weren’t any side-by-side seats left.

Without us even asking him (although we probably joked that we wouldn’t mind being bumped up) he bumped us up to business.

He even voluntarily explained why: my companion was “humble”, he said and we were nicely dressed.
All the way to Doha (the time flew by) I thanked B., who, that very morning had expressed dismay that I was planning to wear jeans. “Wear your new dress”, she urged me, and luckily I did. Pink Italian linen, my own design.

My companion is the type of person that people warm to immediately.
So he and I got a better deal because we were nicely dressed (he was not only the best-dressed man I ever met, he also kissed the best, firm but not too firm, tender too) and because of his charm.
It certainly wasn’t because of MY humility.
So?
How do you feel about that?
Is that fair?
