Once Lucky, But Twice? I’ve Got A Second Viral Post

I had a viral post a couple of weeks ago, and the second viral post has arrived. It answers the question we all want an answer for!

I had a good sleep last night! The morning was exciting!

I woke up to this — Yay!! I have my second viral post!!

(BTW -yes, I check stats as soon as I get up. I’ve been reading it wrong all these days. May be you do too, check if you know what your real numbers are).

What do I mean by going viral — Is it a million views and $1000 income — Nope, my definition of going viral is simple.

A viral post gives you further insights into your audience’s interest.

It is the answer to this magical question — what do my audience want to read about? Read more about it here.

It also answers another interesting question — Can you make a post go viral?

The first article that went viral is about my writing experiment. The second one that has just gone viral is this one. It was the report of my third month on the platform.

I do not write this to boast. I made $5.52 from the post so far! It isn’t even enough to buy me a coffee (if you account for the taxes and the cost of coffee in Copenhagen).

I write this to give you hope.

Maybe you are on your writing journey and keep wondering how others are doing. It would help if you saw examples of success to believe more.

It took for the first post 1.6K claps and almost six weeks to go viral. The second one took 1K claps and less than two weeks to go viral. People seem to find value in both of the these posts. May be you might too!

The insights also seem to have evolved since my last post. I have ‘Productivity’ and ‘Self’ as additions on the second one. ‘Books’ and ‘Mental Health’ have dropped off from the list. I need to dig deeper to understand why. May be I have new followers who have different interests, or maybe these insights are specific to this post.

I know this success is yours as much as it is mine. I have zero ability to make my posts viral. You do! And you have helped me get my second viral. Thank you very much! You have my gratitude.

My belief increases with each small success!

Let’s keep writing, and let’s share success. It is a challenging journey. We need all the encouragement we can possibly get.
