Missing Tech CEO’s Remains Found 17 Months After He Texted 911 From Uber

On April 25, 2023, a homeless man alerted the Los Angeles police when he found human remains in the courtyard of an abandoned building in Santa Monica.

The coroner confirmed that it was Beau Mann, a 39-year-old man who was reported missing in December 2021. Even so, the cause of his death has not yet been made public.

Beau was last seen in a seven eleven on November 30, 2021 at two in the afternoon. Then it seems that he got on an Uber and sent a text message to 911 to ask for help from the vehicle.

Jason, his fiancé, stopped hearing from him that same day and the messages he sent him didn’t reach his cell phone. According to several media, the two were in a long-distance relationship between California and Michigan, and they were going to get married in June 2022.

De Beau is also known to be the founder of Sober Grid, an application designed to provide help and resources to those who are at any stage of their substance abuse recovery process, something he fought against years ago.

Private investigator James Terry, who was hired by Mann’s family after the disappearance of 2021, shared some of his concerns after seeing the events that led to Mann’s disappearance.

Terry suspects that Mann suffered a drug overdose and died at a friend’s house near where his body was found, the Santa Monica Daily Press reported.

“I don’t think that after that Uber trip, Beau Mann was alive for more than an hour. And now, how did he die? I don’t know.

But I bet they’re going to find out, you know, now that they have the body. I think he entered that house. I think he met with [a friend] and I think he expired in that house with an overdose.”

The friend in question died in January and the apartment was never registered.

The PI believes that Mann’s body could have been moved before it was discovered near the abandoned building.

His theory derives from the fact that Mann’s backpack and computer did not find his remains.

To this day, Beau Mann’s death is still a mystery.
