Omi: Chapter 3, Living in The Garden

The World, the ground is the floor, the air, the sky is the roof. The Milky Way stretches across the sky at night. Azure sky with streaks of cloud at day.

The Rift Valley has plains stretching to the horizon, grasslands, water holes, flat headed trees, herds of animals in the foreground. We are surrounded by The Bush full of grass and shrub with trees dotted upon the landscape. We were the first to leave the garden. This is the primary source of creation myths.

In spring and autumn it rains with regularity and usually at the same time, late in the afternoon. Thunder with rain, dry thunder without rain. Drought seldom happened. There is lushness in abundance. It is a lot wetter than it is now.
