OMG!! Is this happening again? When will this end?
Did you feel like it some time in your life? I may have felt it before but I don't remember. However, for the past 8 weeks, I have been frustrated dealing with the support of a well-reputed crypto company trying to withdraw my profits. I am sick and tired of resolving the issues faced and wish this ends soon. It was more frustrating as it was happening with my account alone and the rest of the investors that I know were able to withdraw their profits.

It all started 8 weeks ago when I had sizeable returns in my crypto wallet. As per my norm, when I started 3 months ago, I always started with a minimum investment that I could afford to lose and tested if the operations ( transfer, withdrawals) were working as expected. It turned out well initially and my confidence grew. I upgraded two package levels from the starter package they have and compounded my returns to grow my investment. 8 weeks ago, when I hit the withdraw button, An error popped up on my screen saying that there were not enough transaction fees available to process the transaction. I promptly contacted customer support who were readily available. They looked into my account and said that I have to pay transaction fees for the higher package levels which would allow me to withdraw as many times as I want for one year (the minimum time frame to withdraw is weekly). I enquired with other investors to see if they had paid the gas fees and came to know they had paid.
Since I had upgraded to two package levels, I had to pay the gas fees for both the levels which was a hefty amount. But, my profits were bigger. Hence paid it. Even after paying, I was getting the same error. Now the support team was not sure of what was going on and connected me to the admins of the system. The admin said that there were multiple resets done on the system because of the withdrawal efforts when the transaction fees were not there. They tried to remediate the situation and came to the conclusion that my account had been corrupted and said they would create a new account and move all my assets to the new account. They had moved all the transaction fees paid to my personal wallet in the system and had asked me to pay the transaction fees again as it would be a fresh start. I obliged and transferred the transaction fees to the wallet suggested.
After a week, They said everything was good and I was excited to withdraw my profits. Dang!! same error. Now, my anxiety levels were over the roof. I was almost about to blast the support team. I took a few deep breaths and realized that I needed their support to get my money back. They looked at the system again and said that they were going to talk to the designer of the system to understand what went wrong. In this process, I started wearing my developer hat and asked them a few questions for which they didn't have valid answers. I thought maybe the designer of the system would have answers
After 4 days, the admin guy comes back excited and tells me that he has spoken with the designer of the system. He said that everything looked good and the only thing missing was the starter package fees. I was about to lose it now. I asked him why should I pay for the mistake done by the system ( starter fees are usually free). He said that is the only way it can be done and they are not authorized to pay the fees. The resets and ultimately the corruption of the account in the system were because of me not paying the transaction fees. I was fuming now and asked him how would I pay for something that I was not even aware of. The support did not budge on this and was expecting me to pay. I just wanted this to end and paid the starter transaction fees which was less compared to the two package levels I had paid earlier.
Now, this is the ultimate one. The system goes down for one week. Of course, we were intimated about the system going down 2 hours earlier. Once the system came back, the admin guy said everything was good and I could go and withdraw. I tried and the same error again. My feeling was. — “Will this ever end”. In the process, I was upgraded. I can now directly talk to the designer of the system. This was by accident. The admin guy with whom I worked was not available and the support team transferred me to the designer of the system. The designer looked at my account and said the timing was wrong. The system could not detect the transaction fees as it was deposited right before the system went down. So, Is that an issue for an investor or for your lousy design of the system? The designer said that he is going to refund the funds to my personal wallet in the system and we can only make it work if I deposit the starter transaction fees again.
Well, one thing good about the system was all the transaction fees paid that were not being picked up by the system were refunded back to my personal wallet in the system. I can see the profits generated every week along with the refunded transaction fees in my personal wallet in the system but cannot withdraw to an external wallet. On the advice of the designer along with my frustration to end this, I transferred starter transaction fees again. The designer advised me not to do any operation in the system for the next four hours. I said I would log off for the whole day. When I came back the next day and after consulting with the designer, I tried withdrawing funds again. Same error!! I screenshot and let the designer know. The designer says No way and he checks again. He sees some activity logs on my account in the 4-hour time frame. Apparently, it looks like the admin guy with whom I worked was trying to reactivate my account to figure out what is the issue. can you believe it? I felt like the universe was devising all possible ways for me to not have access to funds.
Lessons learned
Along the way, I feel that I have developed an emotional attachment to the profits generated by the system which is causing so much pain mentally and physically.
I remembered a conversation that I had with my dad when he lost a lot of money ( somebody pickpocketed his wallet). He was cheerful and did not lose his serenity over losing the money. I remember vividly what he said- What is supposed to be mine will stay with me. Why worry over what is not mine?
I felt a sudden sense of calmness when I let it go. I believe everything happens for a reason and this incident shows there are things beyond our control. I need to accept it and move on. It does not mean that I will not contact support to know the status. I will contact them to know the next steps but will try to keep myself emotionally detached from the results or not have expectations.
