Oil Your Happy Hinge With Gratitude
Don’t waste another second in time chasing the empty promises of materialistic desert mirages
True happiness doesn’t hinge on a circumstantial outcome but more on the attitude which you take inside that circumstance.
The words Good & Bad are terms based on our self-defined expectations of personal preference. Straight to the point, — if you want to change your attitude, — change your expectational preferences.
A suggestion would be to abandon your presupposed judgments of how you think life should turn out based on personal unrealistic expectations, that it should always end up the way you prefer.
Then remain open to everything happening the way it actually does.
In other words, get rid of the terms good and bad altogether, and now, after the presentation of every circumstance that happens, develop the saying…
“It happened, — Now What”
Completely skip altogether the temptations of categorizing any situation or circumstance into the label of either “Good” or “Bad” —
It happened, Now What?
Then immediately choose the best possible productive pathway forward. Don’t stop to complain and Don’t throw a temper tantrum…
Don’t collect $200 by passing “GO”. (Unfamiliar? Play Monopoly)

Happiness doesn’t depend on anything going the way you want it to. It simply depends on the choice you make to be happy.
Regardless —
I will try to word this as painless as possible. If you’re an unhappy person, I would wager a considerable amount of potatoes that you’re an ungrateful person as well.
Ungrateful = Unhappy
The two actually walk hand in hand & cleverly deceive you into believing, as the sand is still fresh in your toes, that happiness comes BEFORE gratefulness when, in fact, it’s the contrary.
So Here’s the Skinny —
If your internal happiness is affected in any way by your external circumstances, then you’re not truly happy! You’re just skipping along the surface from preference to preference.
In that, the sad truth is that the search for happiness is sometimes cloaked behind the drive for material possessions, leading those that choose to be deceived by that never-ending pursuit, empty and left lacking in the wake of that intended outcome.
A true search for happiness is found inside each and every one of us placed there by the Creator of life itself, so you can rest in the fact that you don’t have to have money, houses, cars, relationships, fame, fortune, or any other external material possession to fully live a life in a contented state of peace, joy, and happiness.
True lasting inner peace and happiness come from within, — with what you already possess, — with where and who you already are right now. Let go of your preferential expectations and just live as the advertised garage sale items do… As Is!
Once you perfect that — the material stuff is a bonus.
