“Oh, What A Beautiful Morning. Oh What A Beautiful Day”
“I’ve got a wonderful feeling, everything’s going my way.”

When Oscar Hammerstein II wrote “Oh, what a beautiful morning,” I sometimes wonder if he knew how many ways this song would relate decades later to so much joy and happiness.
When Oreo and I once walked early mornings near the wetlands we lived near, we would hear the birds singing their songs of joy for all to hear, if people only would listen. It seemed to put more of a spring in our steps and nary a hitch in our giddyup.
The chattering squirrels would tease Oreo and run far enough up a tree to stay just out of reach from her. In the springtime, add the fragrance of grass, trees, and flowers and we were ready, set, going on our way to heaven on earth.
At times like these, I doubt if I could have a bad thought about anyone or anything. Everything seemed to be “going my way!” I couldn’t wait to get home to describe to Carol what we had been experiencing.
After all, when I am feeling good, the only thing that makes it even better is sharing it with someone I love.
It is just like love, itself. You can’t keep it unless you give it away. What good would it be if I awoke at the top of my world, soaring in the clouds with only the eagles for company, and not be able to share it?
If you are having a little less than spectacular day, take some of my joy and happiness. I am pleased to be able to share it because I have an abundance.
Then, take it and share it with someone else and watch your little corner of the world become a much brighter, better place immediately.
Thank you, God!
