Oh Mighty Castles of Rhodes

Your formidable strength left me in awe

Awestruck as I gaze

at stalwart walls protecting

all inhabitants

within the fortress façade

through all past tribulations.

Our fourth day at sea brought us to the magnificent island of Rhodes, Greece. Surrounded by castle walls, the interior was quite a sight to see!

I remember that Game of Thrones was huge around the time of our vacation, and part of me thought about the various castles on that show while trekking through Rhodes!
