Of Which Memories
Poetry by Keira Fulton-Lees

Of which memories can you hold onto When your’re twice at once the self The soul walks in the vortex Of what little is still left
Of which memories can you walk with When with each waking moment The soul walks against the grain Of the will to then commence
Of which memories can you believe in When the one who died still lives The soul hides in the shadows Of reminders that deceive
Of which memories should be hidden When should lines be drawn in sand The soul opens the window Of the mirrors you can stand
Of which memories to hold on to When you no longer have a past The soul relives in tandem Of the two as one at last
