Of Casting, Cushion and Crimson Red

My World of Pep and Party

My clandestine self-party zone, Photo/Edit: Monoreena

“If you celebrate your differentness, the world will, too. It believes exactly what you tell it — through the words you use to describe yourself, the actions you take to care for yourself, and the choices you make to express yourself. Tell the world you are one-of-a-kind creation who came here to experience wonder and spread joy. Expect to be accommodated.” ― Victoria Moran

I let a voice in me confront myself, Self-spiel of one selling to the other, In a crowd of frond, I look for solitude, Counting breath, spreading scars, To soak in sun ’n dry in rain, And they know it all —

The casting, cushion, and the crimson red

Knotty mind, naughty instincts, The squirrel shrieking caution, Feather clouds, flying wings, Drop stories of devolution, From pained heart to thin air Thoughts flow incessant, Pigeons crowd, flutter sound Mind nods vehement.

Monologues of a Brownian mind, Susurrating leaves in attention, The passing breeze carries far Un-worded soul find mention, Burning eyes, release of weight Ardour touching earth, Swaying foliage, twirling light That little birdie seeking mirth.

Leafing through my me-loaf is often a process arduous, Linen threads in umbrage Suffer tears momentous, Private pad, concrete clad Self-o-fete beckons, Finding Me in many me With silence in rapt attention,

Pep to self, self, and pep, Amends clandestine made,

I seek my spot, in the quiet — Of that casting, cushion and those crimson red.

Author’s Note:“Words matter. And the words that matter most are the ones you say to yourself.” ― David Taylor-Klaus.
