Ode To Pumpkins
A poem
Sunny stroll through the pumpkin patch I’m seeking to find my perfect match Orange and round, I pluck you from the vine Oh, how I love this pumpkin of mine
Home with me, my pumpkin will go To take a seat next to my scarecrow After you are carved and made hollow A Jack-o'-lantern for treaters to follow
Rows of teeth carved to give all a fright Prepared to glow Halloween night Eyes carved out to see the tricks and treats Pink princesses and ghosts in sheets
Autumn is the best time of the year Halloween is a holiday that I hold dear Place a candle inside so you will shine Oh, how I love this pumpkin of mine
