Ode to a Blank Page
(or the daily struggle)
Oh, blank page! Thy white sheen staring back at my weary eyes. Empty as I am of words, a page devoid of digital ink.
Oh, blank page! Thy power over me instills a sense of dread. Why must thee mock my untenanted mental sagacity?
Adieu, blank page! Thine power is lost as “Ode” is now scrawled onto thee. Too long dids’t thou keep me stone-like staring at thy void.
No longer a blank page, for you are gone! Now new words will flow, steadily, afore you appear again and repeat the same song.
