O heart-stealer!

a free verse poem on the longings of the heart

the village of my heart, waiting, waiting, for your arrival, my mind already contemplating, the sound of music, echoing in directions, four, as you would start walking towards me, O heart-stealer, when would you arrive?

O stealer of my heart, shall i, start walking towards you, this wait’s unbearable, i am just like that wooden boat, waiting to reach your shore, this spinning grey tornado, the only barrier, but i’ll cross it, i promise, i promise to touch your shore, before the tide’s here, wait for me, wait for me…

Thanks a lot, Dr Mehmet Yildiz, and all the editors at Illumination for sheltering so many of my stuff, here!
