Amazing how roles change sneakily without telling me not even a hint, One minute patriarch next minute family fastener, Appears days of happily grumping and pontificating from comfy corner chair are well and truly over, Nuts and bolts keeping things together.
Once something is held together with nuts and bolts bonds must be frequently checked adjusted and reset, Like anything involving humans change inevitable, Conversations and discussions feelings and thoughts freely shared promote love and trust understanding and adapting helping maintain bonds, Nuts and bolts.
Industrial revolution created demand for standard fasteners, Started with Whitworths' standard for threads enabling mass production nuts and bolts, New standards appeared designed for diverse applications and situations, World became connected industry and trade, Demands for specialised and diverse ranges of nuts and bolts proliferated, Simple became complicated, Nuts and bolts needed careful selection to ensure fitness for purpose.
Industrial revolution, Times change, Simple relationships family and community now more complex through instantaneous technology that hampered traditional family and community elders and grandparents, Social etiquette and family traditions threatened, New nuts and bolts appeared along with on-line communities, Rapid social change disruption and hasty adaptation.
Times are changing yet again, Trends are there, Global warming with unexpected extreme weathers will overcome humans’ reluctant actions and short-term quick fixes, Global community relying on ever increasing energy use will decline, Social structures will reform and gather around traditional community and family values emphasizing roles of parents and grandparents, Nuts and bolts holding us together.
