Nuclear Power and Our Environment
It now being 2020, we get fed news about our world daily. Carbon dioxide, ice is melting, COVID-19 continues to spread, and killer wasps. So maybe some good news in order.
According to the World Nuclear Association, 35.5% of all the world's energy is based on renewable resources. Over 50 countries across the globe have nuclear power and in 2017 nuclear was the second-lowest source of non-carbon energy.
As time goes on we will see a build on the increase of solar, geothermal, and other forms of energy. Some scientists say by 2050 will be the turn for the worst. Since the early 2000’s we have been trying to get our world back under control after a few hundred years of progression. There are some ethical issues like developing countries that may need coal and fossil fuels to get off the ground. Some say it is a first-world problem to concern ourselves with the globe, but I suggest otherwise. The actions as a State grows determines its future. It's similar to how an individual grows.
Global warming, e-trash, and overuse of plastic is a world problem, that affects everyone. E-trash pollutes the water system and causes cancer and other diseases to scavengers for rare materials. Afterward, it runs into rivers and sewage that ends up in the ocean.
This problem is serious and will take a little bit of effort from everyone. It doesn’t have to be worldwide save the planet mission impossible movie. It starts right here. In our homes, neighborhoods, and towns.
