Nowhere Else To Be

Poetry of a moment

I feel an urgency today Feel like there is somewhere I should be An overriding pressure of what I’m missing Urgency to which I cannot attend In every corner of my mind pushing Today I’m shifting while the ground is still

Certain that there must be plans That mandatory arrival is expected There will be consequences Must accept there is no choice Be mindful that you send response Places that must see you

Like that last visit with Mom That day only in one room Last real semi conversation Visit together here today With just us is the only plan Mom, I’m here, nowhere else to be.

MAS (poetry)

A gentle reflection on a day spent with Mom in either late Sept or early Oct 2021 just about a year ago. There were no plans but for me to sit with her. She kept commenting on getting ready to go somewhere. She was one to always have places to go and things to do. Miss you Mom.
