November’s Fourth Week Prompt Of Lifeline

Now is the time to make a change

Greetings Poets,

Welcome you all to another prompt of Lifeline publication. Hope you all are doing great.

Thanks for submitting some of the great entries for the first three prompts of November month.

In the earlier prompt, I asked you to share your bucket lists of life.

“You must take personal responsibility. You cannot change the circumstances, the seasons, or the wind, but you can change yourself. That is something you have charge of.”

-Jim Rohn

Recently, I started to change myself and my living. Sometimes, we become bored of our regular lives. We should change our daily routine sometimes. It makes day-to-day life exciting. We all want to change our life. However, we don’t have the guts to work and get that change in our life. For example, we all want to look fit and healthy, however, to gain these results we have to work out and exercise. We have to get out of our comfort zone to achieve success in any area of life.

sometimes ago, I decided that I want to create a healthy morning schedule before I start my work. As I have mentioned in one of the pieces, that I started doing yoga regularly and I am enjoying its immense benefits in my overall physical and mental behavior. Having a healthy morning schedule is a must in everyone’s life. When you will start to do it, it will be hard. Once, you get used to it, it will be easy for you.

Not just that, we all have some bad behaviors and bad habits that we all want to change. On the other side, we are not able to do so because we are not ready to work hard. It will take time to change, but once you change you will realize it. Here, I want to include one of my examples. I am a person who can easily go mad when something bad happens. A very small thing disturbed me a lot and I lose control over anger. My mom helped me to recognize this behavior and I finally be able to change my behavior. I learned to handle things with calm and patiently.

It’s upon us how we live our lives. No one can change or make our life. God created you to create your own life.

“Change the changeable, accept the unchangeable, and remove yourself from the unacceptable.”

-Denis Waitley

I love the quote of Denis. Many of us waste our life in changing the unchangeable thing. You don’t have any control over your situations, they will happen. You can’t just sit and complain that why this is happening to me. You have to get up and find a way to get out of your situation because it’s in your hand whether you want to stay in a mess or get out of a mess.

Today’s prompt is,

What is the one thing you want to change about yourself? Are you afraid of making any changes in your life? If yes, why? Does change make you afraid in life?

I would like to invite the poets of Lifeline publication to share their responses to the above prompt.

I want to end this piece with one of my favorite quotes.

“For the past 33 years, I have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: 'If today were the last day of my life, would I want to do what I am about to do today?' And whenever the answer has been 'No' for too many days in a row, I know I need to change something.”

-Steve Jobs
