November’s First Week Prompt of Lifeline
Greetings Poets,
I hope everyone is doing well. The prompt topic for this week is “Traveling.”
In India, people use vacation days right before Diwali and frequently travel to various locations. Children also enjoy a 21-day mini-vacation from school / life. People consider this to be a good time to organize a family vacation.
Due to my health concerns, I haven’t made any plans for this year. But many of my friends traveled to diverse locations like Goa, Kerala, Mumbai, and so on.
“There is a kind of magicness about going far away and then coming back all changed.“ – Kate Douglas Wiggin
I can still clearly recall my ninth-grade vacation outside the city. As part of my school picnic, I went there. In that trip, I went to Kutch. It was a trip I’ll always remember taking with my schoolmates.
It was a trip I took alone, without my parents. Although I can’t say that I traveled alone, it was the first time I spent six days apart from my parents. It was the first time I was traveling alone, so I was both anxious and excited. There were teachers and other students present, but it was my first time experience.
I saw the white desert in the Kutch during that journey. Being the main draw of the Kutch, it was a great experience. It combines the characteristics of the Little Rann of Kutch and the Great Rann. The White Desert of Kutch, which serves as the Indus River’s basin, evaporates between November and February to make way for its vast area of salt-induced land.
I went to the Mandvi beach while on the tour. You can engage in activities on the water and at the beach including riding a water scooter, swimming in the ocean, parasailing, and banana boat rides. Visitors to this location also take pleasure in beach strolls and sunbathing.
Additionally, I’ve been to Narayan Sarovar. Narayan Sarovar, a large lake on India’s western border, is very important spiritually. It is well-known due to the fact that it is one of Hinduism’s five holiest lakes. In addition, I have been to Gandhidham, the eighth most populous city in Gujarat. It is a well-liked location for business meetings, conventions, and other events. I’ve also been to Jesal Total Samadhi, a well-known Hindu temple in Anjar that dates back to the fourteenth century or so. The sacred graves of Jesar Pir and his wife Sati Toral are located at Anjar, Gujarat. They inspire future generations with their unending love.
Finally, I went to Mata no Madh, one of Gujarat’s most well-known landmarks. It serves as Maa Ashapura’s temple. Visitors are treated to a stunning perspective of Bhuj’s skyline thanks to how distinctive the main temple is.
I will never forget my trip to Kutch.
This week’s prompt is,
Recall a favorite holiday memory and experience your emotions in a form of a poem.
