American Kingdom: Day 8 notes

The day’s writing:

Daily notes: I’ve switched over to putting up scenes instead of chapters. Three or four minute read times instead of ten minutes. My aim is to have more readers and more feedback. It’s one thing to write and write and write with my nose pressed up close but fresh eyes are best to tell me truths I can’t see.

This is a crucial chapter. Molly has been fed a line by some smooth talkers and it looks like a way out of her troubles.

In fact, this is one chapter where I began the day thinking that I might need some divine guidance in the form of Story Cubes because I honestly wasn’t sure how things were going to work out.

Well I knew where I wanted to go but could I make it credible and interesting?

I went for a walk, came up with a plan, and today is about seeing if I can get this down.

(Distracted by the election count tonight. As I write, this is not the result predicted.)

Still later. I didn’t write as much as I intended. Life, the election, personal matters got in the way. That adds to the challenge.

Big writing day today. I hope.

Even later. There are, as Molly says, a lot of words there. I think I have laid down the case for the Kingdom right there. The Bible clearly states that a wicked person, by taking Jesus into their heart even in the last minutes of life, may have an honored position in eternal glory.

Truly believe that Jesus will return and overthrow all earthly powers, and you may break all the rules, commit every hypocrisy, be as rich and prideful and entitled — in every sense of the word — as you desire and you are doing God’s work.
