Weeds & Wildflowers February Prompt

As always, I like to start a new month by expressing gratitude for the photographer or artist of the new Weeds & Wildflowers banner. Our February banner is a photo by Zoë Poulsen. To me, her flowers are whispering Spring, Spring! Thank you, Zoë, for providing our February banner!

Although not all cultures celebrate the “romantic” day of St. Valentine’s, Americans do, and February 14th is fast approaching. Personally, I consider Valentine’s to be what I call a Hallmark Day, meaning that it’s a made up “special” day created to encourage people to spend money.

With that said, anyone who celebrates Valentine’s Day has a story to tell about the worst or the most surprising gift they ever received. And, if you don’t celebrate Valentine’s, I’m sure you also have stories about other terrible or shocking gifts you’ve received.

So, this is our February prompt:

What was the worst or most surprising gift you ever received?
