Not enough hours in the day
I could use an hour, a maid, and a cook
I get a boost of energy and work all day, and my mother wonders why I cannot get up the next day. I need help with basic housework and cooking, so different projects are challenging that I have been doing.
Someone has to do it.
My knees are bad, but when I have a good day, I push myself and land in bed for a few days.
“Space it out,” people say.
I cannot space it out because these things cannot be spaced. You do it when your knees feel good, and the timing is good.
I washed the overdue car. It looked like a toilet for birds. I cleaned the dogs, which they needed it. They wallered in every strange smell outside they could find—male dogs, chickens, ducks, cows, who knows.
I finished moving my stuff into the back of the house. Finally, I went back into my bedroom suite. It has taken me ten months to redecorate my home, and I wanted to be done with it. I hurt, but I am happy it is finished. I tried to change the looks of it after I had a bad experience last year. I needed to feel good about life again!
No one offered to help, so they should not ask me why I tried to do too much. They are busy with their lives, and I understand. I am finally down to basic cleaning to simplify life.
Do you find the same problems in your life? Need more hours, or are you organized? I will be more organized since I finished redecorating. I have seen more time for writing, and I love that. I want to get out and find things to write about.
You must do your best every day, especially if you have physical problems, so do not let that hold you down. I did not. I get up and do something daily unless I did too much the day before. I rest and then go at it again. Now I am catching up, and it feels great!!!!
Make lists!! I am all about the daily list and marking them off even if I do not finish them. I pick up where I left off the day before.
Here are a few tips I learned to be more tidy.
- When I get up, I take anything that needs to be put in its place.
- When I get out of the shower, I wipe everything down with my towel.
- Do dishes after I eat sometimes.
- Make the bed when I get up.
- Since I have difficulty with my knees, I keep my daily writing stuff in a bag. All my everyday things are in a bag I need while working.
I have a desk, but I find the couch easier at times.
So give me one more hour in the day or a maid, and I will be delighted!
