Not An Ideal Week Of Photography
Shots of Cyprus: 10-16th March, 2024
On Sunday, I decided to take photographs of the coast at Agios Georgios Alamanou. Taking the B road instead of the motorway, I veered onto a country road I do not normally use. It was not long until the magnificent yellow field came into view. I stopped the car but had to get out to take a proper shot, praying the barking dogs at the nearby house were not on the loose.
I then continued to the white rocks of the Agios Georgia’s Alamanou coast and took pictures of the sea caves (pictured above). This is an outstanding geographical feature on the Limassol coastline.

Since I am adding to my photo profile on Picfair, I decided to visit a lone almond tree near my apartment on Monday. I took a few shots, finally deciding that the one below was the best.

On Tuesday, I walked to a nearby beach to take photos of the sunset. I never tire of these magnificent evening skies in Cyprus.

I normally walk every day on the beach. On Wednesday, I went to Malindi Beach, a 7-minute walk from my apartment. The sand on Limassol beaches is noticeably darker than at the popular resorts of Ayia Napa and Paphos. The beach below is attractive for swimming due to the sandy bottom of the sea bay.

I went for my daily walk on Thursday morning; thinking I could take some pictures of wildflowers, I changed my mind as it was rather windy. Instead, I took the coastal path and snapped the view of Limassol.

I had planned to visit an archaeological site a few kilometres from my apartment, but by 10 am it was raining rather heavily. Around lunchtime, I looked out my back door to see if it had faired. The ominous clouds warned me of further showers, therefore I resigned myself to staying indoors, cooking lunch and working on Medium and my next book.
I had pleasant interactions with new followers and kind people who commented on my articles: Lu Skerdoo, Red Auxilian, K. Barrett, Dr Seema Patel (PhD), Aletheia Chan and Hadassah Treu I Author.

Again on Saturday, it was cloudy and windy. Instead of going for my normal walk, I went for a drive along the coast to get out of the apartment for an hour or two.
I don’t ‘heart’ this weather, but I’m not complaining; as long as a speck of blue is visible, I am reminded that azure skies will soon return with days of sunshine ahead.

This was not an ideal week for photography due to the wintry, windy weather during the latter half of the week. Better weather is coming soon!
I’m deeply thankful to the God of creation, my Heavenly Father, for the beauty of Cyprus.
