Not All Loves are Equal

I extend a sincere invitation for suggestions from my Medium and Illumination friends as I shape “a poem” for my daughter and son-in-law’s twice-postponed wedding on June 12. What else might you say?

Dear Ones,

On the auspicious occasion of your profound life partnership,

I veer into the blasphemous,

sanctioned by the spirit of unutterable favourites,

Quite simply not all loves are equal.

Being among the chosen,

we awaken sleep,

because we miss each other,

even curled in exponential warmth.

With yesterday’s dross dispelled,

morning finds us resilient, replenished, redeemed.

With a surfeit of sensibilities,

promises hold fast or amend effortlessly.

Eons hence, as galaxies unfurl,

angels will probe the planets

for love such as ours.

“Love is the appreciative, responsive commitment to the flourishing of the Beloved including ourselves.”*

My Beloved, Our Beloved,

Love that fires a billion suns.
