My first poem on Medium*

An era of new beginnings. A journey of unbelievable destinations. An emotional experiment. A spark of belief that I can be creative.

It took a lot of courage to be online. It took a lot of fortitude to sound confident. It took a lot of effort to appear relevant. It took a lot of support to become committed.

My first poem’s publishers, there are no words to thank you. My first poem’s readers, there are no words to thank you. My first poem’s responders, there are no words to thank you. My dear followers, this is a tribute to you.

I have seen consistent growth in my writing because of you. I have explored new areas in my creativity because of you. I have found ways to connect to my soul because of you. I have healed my traumas of rejection because of you.

Your support nudged me towards a new path. Your patience encouraged me to try new things. Your presence motivated me to be myself. Your love for my creative pieces made me a better person.

I can’t believe I have spent three years writing here; they just flew by quickly. My growth has been slow, with few accolades (Top writer tags) and earnings, but this platform has given me confidence, a solid support system, and the freedom to write about anything and everything.

I have written poems, posts, short stories, fiction, participated in challenges, collaborated in book projects, and so on.

Most importantly, the experience has made me a better thinker, writer, and teacher. Each writer and poet inject my distracted mind with immense energy to read, learn, and write more.

The tremendous talent of creators here has opened an infinite pool of ideas, keeps me updated about recent trends in writing, takes me to interesting destinations through travel stories, and makes me laugh through their comedic posts.

All the topics I care about are written, discussed, and shared in amazingly creative ways that always leave me awestruck.
