2022 WRITING PROMPT JOURNEY
Non-Fiction Writing Prompts — Week Thirteen
Prompts for March 26th to April 1st
We are officially in Week Thirteen of our Writing Prompt Journey, and a quarter of the way through the year! Three new non-fiction writing prompts await you below! I hope they bring you all the inspiration you need to get in the writing mood today.
The simple rules for this Journey:
- Pick a prompt (or two or three!) and get writing.
- Post in our Publication, or post anywhere! Make sure to share a link in your post back to this Prompt post.
- Share a link to your prompted writing in the comments.
- Tag your post with “Writing Prompt Journey”.
Prompt 1
Heartwarming news of the week
Ideas:
- Tell a story from your life of something that changed your day/life for the better.
- What heartwarming occurrence (big or small) made you smile this week? Was it something that happened to strangers, neighbors, family, or yourself?
Prompt 2
Popular myths versus the actual facts
- Do you think myths can actually be fully debunked? Or will there always be a sense of the unknown around many myths?
- Tell us the story of your favorite mythic creature.
- What facts are there to support the existence of the loch ness monster? Do you believe in the loch ness monster?
Prompt 3
What is a writer?
Ideas:
- What do you think the requirements are to be able to call ourselves writers?
- What makes a “good” writer?
- What are some quirks only writers have?
Remember to check out the Poetry and Fiction Prompts for Week Thirteen for more inspiration. You can also go back to see the previous weeks’ prompts here.
And please don’t forget to put links to your prompted posts in the comments, and link back to this post in your writing so more people can join the journey. I can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Chelsea Marie is a writer by night and graphic designer by day. She is a West-Coast Canadian with a bad case of wanderlust and a dream to travel the world with her severely airplane phobic partner. Why do the easy way when a complicated route makes a much more interesting story? She’s on Instagram @c.the.storyteller.
Before you go…
If you enjoy my work, why not join Medium as a paying member? This allows you unlimited access to stories (not just 3 free stories per month). Tap this link or the image below. It helps me out since I will receive a small portion of your membership fees, but it won’t cost you any extra (bonus!).
This Writing Prompt Journey is hosted in my publication The Storyteller’s Vault. If you would like to receive weekly links to these Writing Prompts sent to your email, please feel free to sign up and receive newsletter updates.
