Summary

The text reflects on an ongoing struggle with unidentified voices that provoke fear and hatred, juxtaposing this with the author's belief in a loving and merciful God, and the inherent goodness within humans.

Abstract

The author describes a tormenting experience with disembodied voices that have been harassing them for over a year, spewing hate and threats, and inducing fear without any apparent reason. Despite the unknown origin of these voices, the author maintains a sense of hope and faith in a God who embodies love and mercy. They ponder the purpose of human existence, suggesting that life is transient and that humans are meant to live with love and compassion, as they are reflections of the divine. The author emphasizes the importance of overcoming fear with love, viewing human life as a temporary vessel for an eternal soul that holds the potential for infinite experiences within our finite existence. They also question whether they might be a vessel for divine communication, feeling protected and compelled to avoid speaking falsehoods, despite the challenges they face.

Opinions

  • The author perceives the voices as a source of negativity, contradicting their efforts to live with love and hope.
  • There is a strong belief that God is all-loving and omnipresent, and that human beings are created in God's image for a positive purpose.
  • The text suggests that fear is a learned behavior, while love is instinctual, implying that humans should prioritize love over fear.
  • The author feels that every human has the capacity for redemption and is not inherently perfect or irredeemable.
  • There is a sense of skepticism or uncertainty about whether the author is a conduit for divine messages, despite feeling protected from above.
  • The author is committed to living truthfully and with love, struggling against the pressure to conform to the voices' negative influence.

Noises, Disembodied Voices

It’s been over a year Since they Began berating me, Unending, merciless And hateful. They tear at me daily, Flaunting, coarse and crass. They make threats Upon which they sometimes Follow through, Fostering fear From nowhere, Instilling panic for No reason at all. But who they are Is still an exercise In the unknown, Formidable futility. Quit the drugs! They scream, Hellacious, Hollering against heartfelt Hope, they preach fear And hatred anonymous.

Save it for the Judge, They say. But if they mean God, Why should I save it for Him, who is everything, Everywhere, every time, Omnipresent, omniscient, All-loving, all-powerful, The embodiment of Love and mercy? God knows I strive To live with love In abundance, To share that love With everyone I meet.

We were created for a Positive purpose, In God’s image. Perhaps we would be Damned to live otherwise, For life is so fleeting. A human life is The equivalent of An orbital Earthen Day, Of which I have lived So many. Fulfillment is best spent Away from floundering Confusion. Giving is to living As loving is to knowing — And I try my best To love as I live.

There’s not a human Alive on Earth today Whose nature makes Them irredeemable Or perfect. We are creatures Living on a sphere where Fear is learned, and Love is instinctual. Let us live with love When push comes to shove, Abandoning all that makes Us feel afraid. We are eternal souls In temporary vessels, Here to learn we hold Infinity in our finite little Three-dimensional hands. We are the shifting sands, Making molehills out of Mountainous lands.

Would Gabriel deign To speak through me? If so, I know not why, But I am told I am Protected from on high. I find it harder everyday To speak words Tantamount to lies, And though I try To love and live I’m not supposed to scry.
