No Escape
Is there relief in no escape?
perhaps a good thing to see is there is no escape possible (psychologically) out of this very moment no matter how bad (mental interpretation) the previous moment was (past) or how bad the next might be (future) there is simply no escape and it is kind of good news if I can afford to drop the compulsive urge to escape
perhaps we are afraid to see there is no escape hence we indulge in the illusion of escape which is only being unconscious (lost in mind) but we do not get to escape a single moment
being present being conscious somehow scares us or maybe it is an unexamined commitment or a habit which we dare not look
or maybe it kills our hope for reaching a state where there are no bad feelings anymore to flee from
we somehow like to cling on to dull habits rather than opening up to new possibilities and perspectives
true responsibility might not have anything to do with bettering what we experience or skip discomforting moments but to parent and appreciate this moment as there is no need to escape
Each moment is just what it is. It might be the only moment of our life; it might be the only strawberry we’ll ever eat. We could get depressed about it, or we could finally appreciate it and delight in the preciousness of every single moment of our life.” ― Pema Chödrön
