Do you believe in Angels? Whether you believe it or not, they are around you and always desire to help as much as they can.
Maybe they are surprised at how few people try to talk to them and how few ask for their help in their daily lives. You could hear facts about Angels, their origins, and their role in our Creator’s divine plan, but maybe that isn’t as important as feeling them in your heart and wishing for them to help us bring beauty and love to the world.
They are not so different from us, mostly differing in time and openness of soul that we have had… and will have … and will always have.
We do not try to convince you of Angels… because just getting you to think of them is enough to change the world just a little bit. — Pernoste & Dahl

1.A Call
God calls sometimes,
touching silent our hearts,
and he takes us
from ourselves,
to ask us to serve
as his Angels
just for a moment
2. Giving Witness
Unseen, on busy streets
he watched quiet to the side
the rapid, lightning blurs they walked,
the centuries just long minutes for him.
To be human is so brief,
immortal souls in frail vessels,
ephemeral as butterflies.
He slowed time, to hear their cries,
laughter & sorrow, passion & pain
and the Angel saw
the beauty in it all.
He could not hear,
so the Angel came,
and he couldn’t see
so another joined the first.
Soon three more arrived
to help this great heart.
Only five were needed
this time, in the late hours,
to soothe him in his grief,
but many more were ready.
4. Mighty Prayer
So fragile the heart and soul
when the night comes.
Dreams’ windows aren’t walls
against gods or demons
when they assail you
with messages unwanted.
Please guard me, Michael,
for I am still a child in heart
and would hide myself beneath
beautiful Archangel wings.
I see you when I dream
and feel you in the day
as a feather in my mind,
painting in delicate touches
a small understanding
of my true self
6. Cruel Love
When I can’t carry on,
I can see your face,
my Angel in life,
and I’m on my knees
to be with you again.
Prayers, tired prayers,
I make in your name,
but you ask me now
to be as strong as you.
So cruel at times is love,
so eternal in my heart.
7.Beautiful Fall
Worry adorned
her beautiful face
but urgency forced
the dire decision
to take earthly garb,
to hold the child,
to heal her wounds,
and carry her
to a safe place
She didn’t remember
walking before,
and soon she forgot
that she had had wings.
8.A Path Changed
It was a simple moment,
a brief stumble on the street,
a man with the eyes of an Angel.
He delayed her 2 minutes
with gentle conversation
enough time to matter.
Then a missed crosswalk light,
and another chance encounter
with a dearly needed friend.
