This is in response to Jessica's Quill’s Starlight Prompts:

Beneath the cloak of night, she stands, Her realm was a shadowed, forbidden land. “Starlight, guide my weary heart,” She whispers, her magic dark and sharp.
Her court, a gathering of night’s spawn, Faces hidden, intentions torn. Through the silent, velvet dusk, She senses treachery, a breach of trust.
“Who dares,” she muses, eyes aflame, “To challenge my rule, tarnish my name?” Around her, whispers fail to rise, A game of deceit, cloaked in disguise.
A hunter lurks, cloaked in night’s embrace, His heart set on ending her immortal race. With every step, he draws near, Fuelled by vengeance, void of fear.
She feels the tremor of their silent war, A dance of shadows, myth and lore. “Come forth,” she calls, her voice a lure, Her presence was commanding, fiercely pure.
Their eyes meet, a clash of wills, A moment stretched; time stood still. “I see you, hunter, your soul laid bare,” She declares, her gaze a piercing glare.
He steps into the light, unmasked, His intentions were clear, his resolve steadfast. “A queen of darkness, a ruler of night, Yet here I stand, seeking the light.”
A duel of magic, a test of might, Under the starlit, enshrouded night. Spells are cast, swords clash, a dance of fate, Each move a gamble, neither can abate.
As dawn’s light creeps, a new truth is found, Their battle ceases, without a sound. “For now, we part, but remember this night,” She proclaims as they vanish from sight.
In the heart of darkness, where secrets dwell, Her reign continues with a story to tell. Of a queen and a hunter, bound by fate, Under the starlight, they await.
