My heart will forever belong to the Season of Autumn and the celebration of Halloween. I’m always looking for ways to sprinkle the joy of Fall into my everyday life. Jack O’ Lanterns and Jack Skellington are year-round dĆ©cor in my home.

I was recently gifted a peppermint candle from my mom. It smells DELICIOUS and needed much more than just the plain jar it came in…

Before…

I’m not the best artist, but Jack Skellinton’s face is forgivingly easy. I looked up some images and used this as a template.

I drew a face based on my template freehand with an ultra-fine Sharpie, and then I filled in/thickened the detail with a regular fine point Sharpie. It took under 15 minutes. If I messed up, I simply dipped a Q-Tip into some acetone and wiped the mistakes off.

I’m pretty satisfied with how this came out. It isn’t perfect, but neither is dear, old Jack.

… and After! šŸŽƒ
