Newsbreak Just Paid Me The $1,000 They Promised.
If you haven’t already hopped on this tremendous opportunity, you’re missing out.

It’s been nearly a year since I started writing articles for Medium, and all it’s finally starting to pay off.
Despite getting paid anywhere from 13 cents to $148 (my best month), I’ve really enjoyed my experience doing what I love, which is creating content.
There was a drastic wave of writers that started at the same time I did, and we all have been grinding and sticking to publishing articles, but not always getting paid handsomely.
My Newsbreak Profile Journey
At the time of hitting my one month, my following looks like this:

On my best day, I received over 20,000 impressions! That blows my mind, and I can’t believe that I get that wide reach on the platform!

Money definitely talks, and this experience writing for newsbreak has been a huge motivation boost. I didn’t expect actually to get paid, but I thought that I’d give it a try.
How I Got Started
Matt Lillywhite, one of the top writers on Newsbreak, introduced the platform to me, and I thought it was too good to be true at first.
After seeing $999 in my bank account (with the $1 service fee), my mind was blown. I actually earned a ridiculous amount of money for sharing my work.
This experience with Newsbreak shows that if you work hard and keep your head down, an opportunity will present itself out of nowhere.
I know that I’m in on their early bird writing program, and this incentive motivates me to continue doing what I do.
How I Plan on Approaching The Next Few Months
In the ensuing months, I plan on doubling down on creating content and writing juicy stories.
Creating is something I’m passionate about, and when given a tremendous opportunity like this, there’s no reason to quit.
I want to share the opportunity with anyone and everyone I know, assuming they’re passionate and committed to writing.
My goal is to read more and gain more inspiration to come up with great ideas to pitch to the world. Everything seems like an opportunity.
Why I’m Continuing to Write on Medium
Something about Medium feels like home to me. Ever since I started writing, I met some really amazing people here, and I love the flush user interface.
Publishing a story on here feels more therapeutic and aesthetic in my eyes, which won’t ever change.
Thanks to Ayodeji Awosika, I maintain my optimism about sticking with an incredible platform like Medium to hopefully one day be a top writer.
I still have a long road ahead and know that it takes months and years to get your footing, especially if you don’t come from a writing background.
