New York Memories Triggered By A Teddy Bear

Meet Harry the Cuddly Bear: Freestyle

Harry embodies memories of New York

Let me introduce you to Harry the cuddly bear with an attitude. I adopted him in a ‘Chocolaterie’ on Fifth Avenue, close to Central Park, in New York during a trip to visit friends. Did you say anything Harry? Do you want to take the story over? Ok, as long as you don’t chat too much.

“Sure dad. My dad Jason has a very sweet tooth. I saw him squeezing his nose against the chocolate shop window looking inside for the first time. Man, he was drooling like a Pavlov dog. I enjoyed seeing his excitement and thought he is a funny guy that I will get along with well.

I sent him a message to adopt me straight into his brain. I was impressed. He practically sprinted over. This was the first time it ever happened to me. I tried very hard every day, but nobody glanced at me. Oh, and he bought some chocolates too. He didn’t even share them with me.

Today we went for a walk. I was tired and sat on a wall. I told dad to take the photo so we can take part in the Six-Word Photo Story Challenge: Freestyle. He didn’t want to, but I forced him,” said Harry, as he ended his story.

I think you can understand why I said Harry has an attitude. Harry the cuddly little teddy bear will always remind me of my first overseas trip to New York. Oh, the fun my friends and I had exploring the scenery and culinary delights of the city.
