New Year’s Resolutions — The Reality
When it gets towards the last few days of December, many begin to ponder over new goals and targets that they would like to achieve in the New Year. In honesty, this is probably the best time to peruse something like this because physiologically a New Year almost always achieves to boost one's moral, which in terms, should hopeful give you a stronger and more motivative drive into the year. However with New Resolutions, there always seems to be one quite big problem.
Usually!…
IT NEVER WORKS!
I mean, this many sound a bit demoralising, but in reality this is the truth. One of the main issues latched onto this is the fact many people tend to set too many goals, which many of the time happen to be too unrealistic. Countless times, people feel exhausted and physically tired from acting on their newly set goals. Most of the time, this results in their routines to fall through, and most commonly they stop everything. Almost always, never achieving what they set out for. But there is always a solution…
On the other hand, there are always those who achieve their goals, their targets, those are the ones who deep their successes. Yet, it's not like achieving new goals is unattainable. The best way to successfully achieve them is to set out a plan. It is important to logically think through, whether what you want to put yourself through is really realistic.
As an example, someone may want to focus on the development of their health in the the New Year. Consequently, they will have to exercise, and as a result they decide to go for a run every other day. Sorted. The chances they will be able to achieve this goal is much higher than other scenarios because they only set them one goal and it does not occur everyday. If they managed to stick through it, though it may be gruelling, they should pretty confidently achieve it.
However on contrary, those who usually fail upon setting out their own goals may have the same aim of keeping fit and healthy. Yet they may venture into more complicated realms…
Here’s another example:
This person decided to go for a run everyday, in the early morning. This meant that waking up early was a must and most likely, they achieved less sleep throughout the night. After the run, they had a nutritious smoothie, followed through with a number of countless ‘healthy eating’ and other ‘nutritious’ foods that served them as their meals throughout the day. Occasionally, they may have even done a little gym in the evening.
Well the result…. FAIL.
Unless they never had to work, or never have anything to do ever, the likelihood of successfully accomplishing a task like this is next to none, some may do, but it's not the norm for the average person.
Conclusion
In Conclusion, complicated targets you set for yourself in the New Year almost always lead to people giving up because they feel overwhelmed and stressed by the goals they have enforced upon themselves. The best way to successfully achieve your goals, is to focus on one at a time. Also, it should preferably not interfere with your day-to-day life because that will create a hard cycle of potential stress.
When going into the New Year be patient with the goals you set, if you manage to achieve one, create another (if you want), and the eventual result towards the end of the year will be worthwhile.

And A Happy New Year :)
