New Year’s Eve Is Fast Approaching

Happy New Year- everybody needs a fresh start once a year

It seems impossible, but with Christmas over, the New Year is almost here again! Fresh and tantalizing, full of hopes and dreams and promises of better days to come. There are things to do, promises to keep, new goals and resolutions to make.

It is unbelievable how fast the old year flew by, how quickly and adroitly we nimbly managed to avoid each pitfall and crisis that came our way.

We were like sword dancers dodging the risky blades of circumstances and situations, finances and relationships, and depression and elation.

We remember all the good times so perfectly, each one deftly and permanently placed in the happy part of our minds, where all the memories are good, and we get to cherish them whenever we choose.

We need to suppress the bad parts of the last year, the disappointments and heartbreaks, the accidents and emergencies overcome, the illnesses and sickness we endured. They are yesterday’s problems, and yesterday’s gone.

We are all looking forward to the fresh and frisky, fast and furious, glitter and glamor of the New Year’s Eve celebrations.

The excitement of the massive fireworks displays, the countdown to midnight, and the drop of the ball in Times Square are all grand traditions that we honor by their observance.

The shower of confetti, the balloons, the music, the parades, and the lightning and thunder of the noisy and colorful fireworks explosions rock our world and stimulate our senses.

We can all feel the excitement in the air, the promise of better days to come. We are all sure next year will be the best ever.

The energy and excitement are palpable, we are all caught up in it.

These rituals and symbolism of a fresh start, the glory and grandeur of the past mixed and matched with the promise of the future, all the might-have-beens ready to be turned into new visions of hope and promise.

Time-honored traditions that we all share together. Savor the moment! This experience only comes once a year, on the last day of the old year, awaiting the first day of the new year.

They blend and merge together seamlessly, effortlessly, naturally. It is human nature on display in all its timeless grandeur and glory.

If we have a partner it is time to celebrate and renew our vows. If we are looking for a new partner, for whatever reason, what better time to start looking around?

If we are content, happy, and satisfied in our relationships with our significant others, now is the time to communicate with them, to let them know our true feelings.

It is the perfect time to tell each other how much we cherish our relationship, how much we need and care for each other, and how much we love each other.

For those of us with children, it is the perfect time to let them know how important they are to us, and how very much we treasure and value them.

Watching and observing them as they grow each year, marveling at how their minds slowly open up to all the new possibilities they encounter.

The joy of observing the unlocking, and encouraging the freeing, of their full imaginations so that they can grow into the people they need to be.

Their futures are unlimited, and the promise of their abilities warms our hearts and makes us happy and proud to be their parents, their caretakers, and their guides in this grand adventure we call life.

There will be parties and feasting, there will be drinking and dancing, there will be laughter and loving, and there will be excitement and fulfillment. Celebration is in the air. Savor the joy.
