I hate New Year’s Eve. (And not just because I’m a boring old fart.) It drags. And drags. And drags. It feels like it’s twice as long as any other day.

I love a fresh start. New year, new goals. I’ve been busy generating ideas and plans about what to do in 2022. I’m raring to go now, but I can’t because it’s still 2021. I want it to be 2022 now!

But really, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why I can’t make a start on my 2022 goals in 2021, is there? Yet that turn of a page on the calendar is so symbolic. It’s New Year’s Eve. It’s still 2021. All those new thoughts and ideas are for 2022.

Which is why I hate New Year’s Eve. I want to get going. But at least the countdown has begun.

Here’s wishing you all a fantastic 2022 too!
