New to Medium and A Poet? Here’s A Little Tip Many Don’t Yet Know
You don’t need a massive gap between each line
Poets!
This may not be new to you But then again, it might. That you don’t need a gap In between each line.
I only learned this recently Which is why I felt that to share Would be welcome to others Who are tearing out their hair
Because poems look silly If the lines are spread far, And stanzas are separated By a dash or a star,
When it’s actually unnecessary. They can fit just so; Like my four-line stanzas Are meant to go.
So, if you’re wondering how Because you didn’t know ‘til now, Then hang on a sec And I will show you this next.
Instead of pressing “Enter”, You need to press “Shift”, And, while holding it, press the “Enter” key, If you get my drift.
