‘To FAQ’ or ‘Not to FAQ’ — a New Instagram Feature Released Today

That is the question for Instagram Creators

If Shakespeare is alive today, will he be on social media? Twitter or Instagram? Will he be full of angst in his tweets or IG photos?

Oh, Thy answer I shall never know.

Today, Instagram released a new messenger like feature, called the ‘FAQ’ or frequently-asked questions. It is another step forward towards an interconnected universe on social media where the center of the universe is ‘us’, and as long as it is free, we continue to be the product.

Did you watch the Netflix docu-drama, The Social Dilemma? You should.

The feature was spotted on Monday by social media consultant Matt Navarra, who credited @thenezvm for the new discovery.

Here is my video, on how to use the Instagram new feature, #FAQ, I saw on my IG account the same day, it was shared by Matt Navarra.

Instagram new feature, FAQ explained.

I have it on my IG account, what it does is, it allows an Instagram creator or business to set up a maximum of 4 questions. Be careful with what you think your followers will ask from you.

This feature is beneficial for famous IG users who are commonly asked to collaborate with fellow Instagram creators or brands.

Anyone who sends you a message will see your FAQ — Frequently asked questions, and from there, can select any of the 4 questions. It is great, for people who can’t think of the right question to ask.

It is a welcome feature for IG influencers.

A simple FAQ question could be

How much is your fee, to collaborate?

One can’t add quick replies yet.

The Mark Zuckerberg social media universe is expanding. It wants people of different age demographics to remain in the ecosystem by offering these cross-platform messaging features. Soon, WhatsApp which Facebook also owns will be integrated as well.

It only means one thing, Facebook wants us not to stop using social media especially the social media platforms it owns. Messaging would be the next battleground for US government regulators if they are even thinking of breaking up Facebook into pieces.

Other Social Media News

Instagram copied TikTok as it starts to roll out what it calls Reels, Snapchat has its own version of a TikTok copycat, they are calling it Spotlight.

All social media companies now have their own copycats.

In a year when every social media platform has its version of stories, Twitter was the latest to succumb to disappearing posts, but the name they chose quickly became a trending topic, they called it fleets also is a brand of laxative.

Although this time, Twitter did take note of accessibility issues, unlike when they released a new feature, the voice tweets, which when first released didn't take into account that there are millions of people with hearing loss or disability.

And the jokes that followed never bottomed down. What a year it has been for us and what a year it has been for social media.
