While Medium has published some basic information on formatting, many people are still unaware or confused by some of the more complex formatting elements.
This post contains clear visual explanations (screenshots and GIFs) which I am hoping will be much easier to follow than long blocks of text, scattered on old and (sometimes) outdated Medium staff posts.
